Very quiet despite the sunny morning. 3 cows calmly munching in NML near the Fisherman's gate. Had a chat with Mike Allen who was the RO for St Catherine's Hill reserve until he retired.
Only one piece of litter today but did find a mug of coffee/tea complete with tea spoon by the eastern gate on the river Itchen side. Removed it and left it on the bench at Durngate- hopefully the owner will return and collect it!
Please note -
The weekend lookers will have a noisy morning as a circus is setting up on the rugby ground and there is a food festival setting up on the recreation field by the entrance . We had to walk all the way round the field by the temporary heras fencing to get to the bridge
