Wednesday 31st July

Met lots of people today out for a walk beside water and under shade trying to keep cool on a hot morning. Sadly a large amount of litter including several beer bottles in the locked area by the bench. Heartening to meet up with two young children and their mum carrying armfuls of rubbish from the stream dipping bench to put in the bin at Durngate entrance, but disappointing to see so much.

Three swimmers entering and exiting the river on the recreation field side where they were having a picnic.

Round with granddaughter

Next to no litter apart from a McD meal in SPM. Warm & sunny

Meant to say I did my round last week but forgot to record it. Pretty much all there was were 2 young ladies sunbathing in the Glade. 3 cows were in the south part of SPM

Sunday 28th July

Fairly quiet: one family paddling, two walkers, two runners.

Noisy event in North Walls park.

Found a camera unipod by the SPM gate.  Left it by the chalk board at Durngate.

25th July, summer?

A now typical start to our July days, damp and dull. However lots of wildlife this morning, deer, a sparrowhawk family and lots more. Reported boardwalk damage to Sam. Otherwise no problems apart from minimal litter. First time I left my camera at home, won't make that mistake again.

Thursday 25th July

Very quiet only met one person, not surprising given the heavy rain at the time! A family of four Canada geese didn't seem to mind as they swam along the river!

The board walk on the river side is getting worse at the northern end at W3W ethic. reported.smoothly.  Five planks together now sunk down off the side rail. If not already on the job list, it certainly needs adding to your busy workload Sam - sorry!

Not much litter - mostly around the bench at the stream dipping platform.

Sunday 21st July - Warden

Another quiet day on Winnall. Unfortunately lots of litter to the left and behind the bench at durngate. Cut some more over hanging reeds and branches around Winnall. A few butterflies and dragonflies around today.
