couple of runners and walkers. Very little litter except at Durngate bench.
Light frost where sun hasn't reached by boardwalk. Nice light for a spider web.
It looks like the fallen branch is where the whole willow stool had moved.

A few walkers braving the rain.
Big branch down in the river from the Fishing Club side opp NML gate at suitable.sharpened.dumpling
Dead pigeon on the path, I moved it under a plant.
A chilly autumnal feel but beautiful muted colours with bright flashes of berry colour. Long tailed tits flocking and house Martins on migration overhead.
More litter than usual and this fire site under the trees on the way to the pond, surrounded by used nappies, wipes and lots of other litter. Glad to get rid of it!
Just a quick look round the northern end today as ran out of time. All quiet.
very light and soon off but it was definitely there
I wonder how long the council will leave their barriers around our side of the bridge.
Several walkers and more runners than usual despite 2 regulars being absent. Lots of cows in Rugby Club and Duck's Nest. No litter
One walker, one silly runner. Michaelmas daisies popping up here and there. Someone has thrown the orange fencing into the river oppositive NW bridge.
Near the River Park bridge, one shopping trolley left by the board and one large barrier in the river. Lovely to see the Guelder Rose berries. Moderate litter and very quiet.
2 usual runners and a few walkers.
Wind damage on Red Poll, there's a branch waiting to come down. I couldn't shift it, needs a pole saw. My runners had already moved the faller off the path. I've taped the offender and tape round a tree with a small hanger on it, may be more I can't see. While at the pond I heard an ominous creak towards Durngate entrance but couldn't nail it down. There's a tree in the Glade doesn't look too good.
Several nearby trees on North Walls and water Lane sustained serious damage last week. Oh, and a roe watching me strolled off.
The sun came out after the rain. Multiple small groups of runners - 2s and 3s - and I must say some could have acted more considerately. I didn't say anything today apart from alerting the group of 3 to the swans on the path. Only litter at the benches and the glade. Love the new bridge.
A ring necked parakeet was calling from the fishing lake and then flew over Rugby Club Meadow. I am not overjoyed to hear them.
Looks like we had double cover today! So here are pics of the now-open Rec bridge, and one of the swan families.
Very quiet today- didn't meet anyone which perhaps is not surprising as I was walking in a deluge of rain! Just a sole swan and moorhen. Admired the new boardwalk and Joey's strimming and pond clearance.
Anne and Tim
Normal-ish day. No litter, 3 walkers, 2 of my usual runners and spent some useful time with Sheila Anne. Contractors were at the NW bridge. They said it might be open by Wednesday. As usual, swan family blocking the path in swimming pool meadow
A few walkers, a group of three runners. The phantom Opal Fruit eater is back.
Camping equipment stashed under NW bridge.
More litter this Saturday, which is only to be expected. My bus runs earlier now so I didn't get to see Joey. Best wishes for your uni course! I must look up this strange fungus as I've never seen it before. Growing on a willow root. Plus lovely Hemp agrimony going over, and St John's Wort by the river.
first day back. Alone on the reserve and no litter. Boardwalks look and smell good. Nice to see cows in RCM. A buzzard flew off the watching tree just as I pressed the shutter. Noted the blocked sluices at North Walls bridge
