A full bag of litter plus this duvet under the Durngate board, which has more graffiti. Quiet with few visitors, but I spoke to two guys with serious fishing gear, coming out of the newly cut riverside path, and they said they 'didn't know' we ask them not to fish on the reserve. Cordial though.

Thursday 28th - all good
Nowt to report, except for pile of river clay dumped inside main gate - Sam says it’s for the footpath repair and there’ll be lots more to come.

Wet weekend
Something like 40mm rain over the weekend. Bits of overtopping, but nothing dramatic. Depth 37.29 and "steady". The tree at the pond turn will cut easily but too big to push away, dont know when I can get to it. Nice watery sun and plenty of cirrus clouds this morning.

Sunday 24th November
No people about, understandably. Trees mostly upright apart from a couple of branches down on the turning to the pond path at splints.reported.lanes and by Red Bridge chucked.robe.aunts

Wednesday 20th November
Quite busy this morning with walkers and solo joggers enjoying the sunshine.
A length of wooden edging rail has rotted and fallen off the board walk near the southern end at W3W spans.avid.repair ( an appropriate word!
Very little litter. One person commented on the graffiti saying it was such a shame as it's a beautiful place. What can it be removed with?
A jogger said that the other day a magpie had landed on his arm and had come back to see if it was still there!!

quiet and damp
after 6mm rain overnight, wet but no great puddles (yet). Met 1 walker (twice). Some birds having a territorial contest in the trees by the boardwalk. No litter. All seems well and secure

Sat 16th November
Ponies and foals fine. When I walked in they ambled over, not to see me, but headed to the gate where they examined it, perhaps hoping an exit may have opened up. Then they went back to grazing and the foals chased each other around. Will miss them. Hut and barn secure.

Wednesday 13th November - yellow notices
Surprised only to see one person walking round as such a beautiful autumn morning for once!
The bright yellow closure notices regarding entry to North Walls are still on the both entrance gates following the fireworks last Saturday. Unfortunately we didn't have any scissors with us to cut the plastic ties. Perhaps someone could do that.
Very small amount of litter apart from 3 beer cans and an empty pack of cocktail sausages at Durngate bench. Had a pleasant chat with a young lad fishing nearby and pointing out that he was standing in a nature reserve. The usual reply that he was unaware, apologised and packed up. Probably back again now!

What's that big yellow thing in the sky????
uneventful round. Saw no one, no litter. Just 1 young moorhen on the move and a bit of song in the trees, Fungi doing their thing. Tiny bit of rain overnight - more like low cloud. Durngate at 37.12 down a little but not much. Everything else secure and no fallout from fireworks.

clear run
no litter, Thanks Lynne. 3 runners and I walked round having a chat with a lady who volunteers elsewhere and at Hyde Gardens. Nice and clear, a few more birds than usual. Fairly dry, little rain overnight believe it or not. Water was steady this morning, now reported as rising!
I hadn't noticed, it was pointed out to me there were no path closed signs. I will try to remedy that.

Sunday 3rd November
A few people about including one runner.
Lots of litter including an empty rum bottle in the stream by the sluice; pumpkin, sweetcorn and half a melon on the side of the path to the pond.
